Howl! is a nonprofit gallery and performance space dedicated to preserving the past and celebrating the contemporary culture of the East Village and Lower East Side. Howl! presents exhibitions and stages live events that showcase the historical legacy and contemporary culture of the area. It preserves the archives of artists who lived and worked in the community, and houses a permanent collection. Howl! also organizes educational programs and support initiatives for artists in need.
