Conversations are held on Zoom for 45 minutes + 15 minutes participatory Q&A, beginning at 11am EDT.
Today, April 15th, tune in to hear London-based designer Faye Toogood, one of Britain’s most successful designer-entrepreneurs, will discuss the unexpected creative turn represented by her new body of work, Assemblage 6: Unlearning.

For the duration of the present coronavirus lockdown—Design in Dialogue will convene three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Future guests will include:
Friday April 17th: Humberto Campana, whose work with his brother Fernando has defined avant-garde design practice in Brazil for three decades, will talk about the way Estudio Campana has formed its vocabulary through partnerships with international manufacturing and local artisans.
Monday April 20th: Najla El Zein will talk about her body of work, Transition, in which design and functionality take on rich psychological and autobiographical dimensions.
Wednesday April 22nd: Leo Orta and Victor Miklos Andersen (OrtaMiklos), a partnership formed at the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2015, who are finding explosive energy in the combination of objects and performance.
Friday April 24th: Ron Arad, a leading figure in international architecture and design since 1981. Arad will speak to us from London about his wide-ranging and adventurous career, at the intersection of sculptural form, advanced technology, and poetic expression.
More guests to come as we are currently building a program that will hopefully be as engaging to the audience as it is exciting for us. Post quarantine the gallery will continue the Design in Dialogue platform. We will post updates for this series on Instagram @friedman_benda. Join us and help keep the design conversation going.
