We are seeking an extremely well-organized and detail-oriented public relations professional with a minimum of 5 years of media relations experience directly related to museums, foundations and/or galleries.

The applicant must manage several clients at a time and have the ability to develop strategies and help problem solve. They must be media savvy, possess superior writing and verbal skills, and have a flair for social media content. Ability to lead and mentor is also essential. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package including company-paid health, dental and eye coverage, vacation and personal days, and bonuses subject to revenue and performance. Salary range for this position is $65-75K per annum, based on experience.

Foreign language skills are a plus, along with an understanding of diverse cultures.

Responsibilities include:
+ Supervising an Account Coordinator (AC) and providing mentorship
+ Creating and executing strategic communication plans/timelines
+ Acting as day-to-day contact for clients and media
+ Fielding media inquiries and arranging client interviews and/or meetings
+ Advising on and reviewing media target lists
+ Sustaining and building new media relationships
+ Sustaining and building new art world relationships
+ Media and art world database supervision
+ Actively pitching top lifestyle and art media outlets
+ Overseeing and editing communications materials including press releases, pitch emails, media alerts, fact sheets, image sheets, talking points, remarks, and presentations
+ Overseeing and planning special events, such as media previews and media trips
+ Reviewing agendas and media updates for weekly client calls and reports
+ Leading client calls
+ Advising on and implementing social media strategies for clients
+ Representing Blue Medium at client and art world events
+ The Senior Account Manager works closely with the Account Director and the President
+ Working from the NYC office at least 2x per week (hybrid) and attending client-related events

Required qualifications:
+ At least 5 years’ experience in art and/or culture public relations
+ Strong understanding of modern and contemporary art and the art world more broadly + Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in communications, journalism and/or art history
+ Excellent verbal and written communications skills
+ An energetic team player and self-starter
+ Ability to multitask and prioritize
+ Strong media relations skills
+ Evidence of established relationships with art, culture and lifestyle media
+ Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft, AirTable (or similar database software), and basic Adobe.
+ Proficiency in social media platforms, basic analytics and client-related content
