New York, NY, February 12, 2019 – Acquavella Galleries are pleased to announce their presentation for the inaugural edition of Frieze Los Angeles. The gallery will present a solo booth dedicated to Californian artist Wayne Thiebuad, spanning the artist’s entire career from 1961 to 2019. The booth will highlight the Thiebaud’s characteristic exaggerated palette and meticulous painterly technique in his iconic still-lifes of food and paintings of the California landscapes. Thiebaud was part of a two person show with his life-long friend Richard Diebenkorn at Acquavella Galleries in winter 2018, and is currently the focus of two simultaneous exhibitions at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
