Monica Chadha, AIA, LEED AP founded Civic Projects Architecture with the belief that every person and every community should have access to well-designed spaces.

Based in the South Side of Chicago, and rooted in community engagement, collaboration, and transparency, the firm works closely with its clients and stakeholders to ensure that its place-based designs reflect the unique needs, aspirations, and cultural values of the communities they serve. Civic Projects uses this understanding to design spaces that reflect and celebrate the diverse identities, histories, and experiences of the people who inhabit them.

The firm’s partnerships with organizations that are already doing important work in areas such as affordable housing, youth development, and community organizing, allow Civic Projects to use their community-focused design expertise to support their missions and goals.

Civic Projects Architecture is a City of Chicago and State of Illinois certified minority- owned and women-owned business.
