“Season 3.0 has kept me up to date with how artists work,” says host Barbara London. “What emerged in many conversations is the bubbling influence of social media platforms and new technological tools. The series began during the COVID lockdown, when artists turned to the raw essence of their practice. In Season 2, artists were free again — but they had become more pragmatic and more engaged with the importance of community. Now, as we enter 2025 with Season 3.0, it feels like a new chapter begins.”
“Barbara London Calling is a thought-provoking dive into contemporary media-driven art, done with warmth, generosity and humor,” says arts writer & film historian Susan Delson. “Without fail, Barbara picks the artists I want to know more about. She poses the questions I’d ask them myself — that is, if I were a curator with Barbara’s breadth of knowledge and experience.”
“Barbara London Calling captures artists’ candid insight into their artmaking, which is invaluable for art audiences everywhere,” says Kathryn Mikesell, founder of Fountainhead Residency in Miami.
