Paula Cooper Gallery Announces Two New Appointments
Paula Cooper Gallery is pleased to announce the appointment of Suzanne Egeran as a Director, and Cara Zhuang (庄楷) as their representative in Asia. Egeran will be based in New York at their 26th Street location, and Zhuang will be based in Shanghai.
Egeran has previously worked at White Cube, Lehmann Maupin, and Max Hetzler galleries as well as the New Museum and The Museum of Modern Art, New York. Since 2009, Egeran has managed her own advisory firm and curated nomadic projects internationally. She also founded and directed Egeran Galeri, a space in Istanbul dedicated to international and Turkish contemporary art.
A co-founder of Twins Art Gallery in Shanghai, Zhuang has organized exhibitions and educational programs promoting the work of lesser-known contemporary Chinese artists. From 2009 to 2018 Zhuang worked as the Senior Project Manager of Glasstress, Adriano Berengo’s annual presentation of contemporary glass works that coincides with the Venice Biennale.
