Public relations firm specializing in visual arts, architecture, and design seeks a full-time Account Coordinator to work in its Architecture & Design division.
We are looking for an experienced, extremely well-organized, and detail-oriented public relations professional. The applicant must be able to multi-task and have the ability to take initiative and help problem-solve. They must be media savvy, have an impeccable phone manner, experience working in a team, and the ability to prioritize and take direction.
Candidates should be knowledgeable about architecture and design. Also required are outstanding writing skills, flair for social media content, and polished interpersonal skills. The ability to multi-task and work effectively in a small-team environment is essential.
The Account Coordinator will be responsible for multiple clients and participate in all aspects of PR planning and implementation. At least one year of full-time experience in a related field is required. Candidates must be well-organized and detail-oriented, think creatively and quickly, able to adapt to different kinds of clients and contexts, and be comfortable in social and virtual environments.
Our hybrid work plan requires that candidates be able to work from home with a reliable internet connection and quiet workspace three days a week, in addition to two in-office days. Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include full health care coverage (including vision and dental), three weeks paid vacation, and a bonus plan.

Responsibilities include:
+ Creating and executing strategic communication plans/timelines
+ Assisting as day-to-day contact for clients
+ Fielding media inquiries and arranging client interviews
+ Helping to develop PR strategies for projects
+ Compiling and reviewing targeted media lists
+ Actively pitching media outlets
+ Developing and editing press materials including press releases, pitch letters, media alerts, fact sheets, images, talking points, and presentations
+ Planning special events, such as press previews and press trips
+ Reviewing agendas and media updates for bi-weekly client calls
+ Compiling and sending weekly client media reports
+ Implementing social media strategies for clients
+ Database supervision
+ Representing Blue Medium at design world events
+ Managing a team intern
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Communications or Journalism
+ Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
+ An energetic team player and self-starter
+ Ability to multitask and prioritize
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, AirTable, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
+ Solid understanding of social media tools and channels
+ Knowledge of publications covering architecture, design, lifestyle, and culture
+ Availability to attend client events after hours as required
+ Willingness to work both from our office and from home (hybrid).
