Save-the-Date October 10-25: Hong Kong Institute of Architects presents Beyond Territories: Made. Make. Making in NYC during Archtober

To celebrate Hong Kong’s achievements in urbanization and sustainable development during the last 25 years, The Hong Kong Institute of Architects presents Beyond Territories: Made. Make. Making a multidisciplinary architecture exhibition on view in New York from October 10 – 25.

The exhibition is crafted to showcase the expertise, the style, and the acumen of Hong Kong architects in orchestrating a mix of past meeting future, East meeting West. Through both conceptual/built architecture projects and audio-visual objects/installations, the exhibition invites audiences to explore Hong Kong’s spirit of unparalleled perseverance which creates a city with a unique aesthetic of density and diversity.

Divided into three zones, MADE, MAKE, and MAKING, which connect nine sub-themes, each including innovative installations and multimedia displays co-created by architects and artists, the curation allows attendees to explore the chronology of the city: recalling past developments, evaluating contemporary issues, and pondering the future together.
